CONS: Voices sound a bit "hollow" even when you have it on lowest volume level. Didn't need the Big Buttons (they are huge) but this phone set came the closest to having what we wanted plus it's by a well known company. PROS: We bought this to replace an ancient desk phone that finally died.wanted a corded phone with Caller ID and Call Waiting ID capabilities. And we wish the it had an "in use" light so you wouldn't accidently pick up the receiver while someone else is already on the phone in another room (our two much older phone sets have this feature).
Caller ID, Voicemail, time and date included.Negatives: Hard to see Caller ID===numbers difficult to read on screen. Postives: nice large buttons for my poor eyesight. Time voicemail made not shown.Grade: B +.
I would only recommend this phone to someone who will not be using it all the time. You really have to play close attention to how you replace the handset or it will not hang up. I bought this knowing there was an issue with the handset not sitting properly from reading the prior reviews. I was hoping it was due to user error but in fact it is due to poor design. Unfortunately the volume is not very loud on the handset so you can not rely on the "off the hook" sound to warn you either.
Great seller. The sound is strong and clear. It has large numbers and lighted dial, which make it much easier to punch the numbers and see who is calling. Great product. I do a lot of taping and transcribing from my telephone, and the one I had was barely audible and had a lot of static.I purchased this phone in the hopes that it would work better for me. It did. And the shipping to me was phenomenally fast.
It lights up so you can easily see the caller ID when you get a call, the letters are large enough to easily read and the large keypad buttons. The best things I like about the phone are the back lighted display. The only nitpicks I have with this phone are the handset feedback squeal at the higher volume settings, the lack of a hold button and a message waiting light.
